Christmas Bonus For Jaguar Land Rover

Jaguar Land Rover Band secures Christmas bonus with Arts Council England funding through “Grants for the Arts.”

The Jaguar Land Rover Band are embarking on a multi arts project bringing together a “Fusion” of Big Band with the traditional Brass Band.
The Arts Council England grant worth £13,530 towards a project totalling £25,530 will be invested in a unique project embarking on a multi Arts project bringing a “Fusion” of Big Band with the traditional brass band.

The unique talents of world renowned Lead Trumpeter, Chad Shoopman, the skills of professional Big Band players and the top flight Brass Band abilities of Jaguar Land Rover Band are to be fused by the successful arranger/composer, Peter Wraight.

Ten of some of the most famous Big Band numbers, from greats such as Maynard Ferguson, are to be scored for this unique ensemble to perform to create a new sound.

Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, the project will involve arrangements being recorded to CD with workshop and performances which are scheduled for mid-2017.

Band Manager, Simon Archer told A4B: “This project promises to create a new fused sound that will inspire audiences and players alike. As a Band, we are excited to work with and learn from world renowned professionals who are at the top of their fields of music making.
