New Trio Arrives in Kippax

The Kippax band are happy to announce three new arrivals to the band.

Kippax band would like to welcome Mason Hirst and Colin Eastwood on to the trombone section a head of the last contest of the year and the upcoming Christmas season. Mason has moved up to Leeds from Nottingham to study at the Leeds College of Music and Colin has been with the band now for a few months.

The band also welcomes back Paul Stevenson who has moved from cornet on to Bb Bass and brings with him a wealth of experience.

Commenting on the new arrivals, MD Ian Knapton told A4B: “its great to welcome these new players to the band. Over the last year the band has gone through a rebuilding process which has seen attendance at rehearsals now at an all-time high along with increasing numbers at our own band club concerts by putting on programs that have really engaged with the audiences. The band is now looking to fill the remaining seats that are vacant and plan for next year.”
