New Solo Competition at Loughborough Announced

The Loughborough Schools Foundation have announced plans for a new brass solo competition.

Taking place on Sunday 3 February 2019 at the Foundation’s Amherst School Chapel, the competition is split into three categories: Under 11s; Under 15s and Under 19s. Windblowers music shop in Nottingham has generously donated vouchers for the winners of each section. The adjudicator for this event is Principal Trumpet of the Orchestra of Opera North and RNCM professor, Murray Greig.

Loughborough Schools Foundation’s Head of Wind, Brass and Percussion, Aidan Geary told A4B: ‘We are delighted to have secured the services of Murray for our new Solo Music Competition and we are very pleased to be opening this event to the wider brass community where we look forward to welcoming musicians into the Foundation.’
