Kapitol Announce Welsh League Autumn Festival Details

Kapitol Promotions Ltd is delighted to announce that they are organising the Autumn Festival of the Welsh Brass Band League 2019 on behalf of The South East Wales Brass Band Association.

The SEWBBA Autumn Festival is being held at Penarth’s Stanwell School on Saturday 23rd November, with a bumper entry of 29 bands competing across six sections throughout the day. As this is the final leg of the three-part Welsh Brass Band League 2019, the 2019 League Champion Band of each section will also be crowned.

The impressive 425-seater Concert Hall at Stanwell School will house Sections 4, 3, 2 & the combined Championship Section/Section 1, where bands will each perform an 18-minute “concert” programme – this title giving bands even more flexibility in their choice of music. All sections except Youth will have closed adjudication, with Christopher Bond (Sections 4 & 3) and David Hirst (Sections 2 and combined Championship/1) having been tasked to separate the bands.

The impressive Study Space will play host to the Youth Section during the day, where five exciting youth ensembles will each perform a 15-minute entertainment programme to experienced adjudicator Nigel Seaman. Stanwell School’s Dining Hall will be serving hot & cold food all day. Tickets are £7.00 each, and they are only available to purchase on the day at the Ticket Desk. Exhibitors from Pencerdd Music and Mr Tuba will be present at the event too.

Kapitol Promotions Ltd invites you to come along to Stanwell School on Saturday 23rd November to support what promises to be a fantastic day of Welsh brass banding.
