Death of John Bromley Announced

It is with a very heavy heart that Balderstone brass band report the sad death of their long serving, recently retired Bb bass player, secretary and band President and good friend, Mr John Bromley.

A spokesperson for the band commented: ‘John served the band for more than fifty years as a member of the band and kept us all amused with his witty comments and anecdotes. He was always willing to help anybody out and kept the members well supplied in vegetables from his allotment. His band friends will miss him immensely and his contribution to the band. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all his family at this sad time. Further details will be given as we get to know them.’
