Help A Fellow Bander Raise Money For Cancer

“Boobs & Brass” Flugel Horn player, Paula Nicholson, has done so much towards raising money for Breast Cancer research over the years but it is now our turn to support her. Paula (also flugel player for Raunds Temperance Band) has recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer & is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Her friends, Gail & Sharon, will be having their heads shaved to support Paula & raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer. Paula works for the NHS & is a very good friend to many people in the brass band world.

Paula is probably the brightest, strongest and most loving person you could ever wish to meet and we love her very much. She is a nurse and service manager for the NHS , and in her spare time she has been for many year a member of an all female band, Boobs and Brass, which has raised over £250,000 for Breast Cancer.

Over the next few months, our incredible Paula is going to need all the strength she can muster. She has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She has started her chemo, and is losing her hair.

Well. We’ve always done things together so we (Gail Smith and Sharon Prendergast) are also going to lose our hair. In a socially distant and responsible way, of course.

It is Paula’s wish that in doing so we raise some money for Ovarian Cancer Research.

As much money as possible, obviously.

So check out our gallery and tell us, how much is this amount of hair worth??? If your answer is ‘lots’, that would definitely help us with our general level of anxiety.

Please donate if you can: https://www.justgiving.com/team/TeamPaula2
