Top Marks for Band Governance Bootcamp

“Absolutely excellent, really informative, perfectly timed.”

BBE’s new intensive one-day training course has been a hit with its member bands that have completed the training so far.

The new course as a one-day offer covering all the essential areas of governing a brass band. It has been specifically created to address important areas of focus for those running bands and designed to meet the needs of the sector.

Speaking about the course, BBE’s Relationship and Partnership Development Manager, Alex Parker said: “This course has been built around the questions that we get asked the most. It’s a full day of learning with lots of topics being covered, and is proving to be a really worthwhile investment for bands that take part.”

The course will cover areas including funding models and organisational structure, charity status, committee roles and employed positions, and safeguarding. Alongside looking at legal responsibilities and requirements, attendees will be supported to identify and shape the future aims of their band.
