IBBSS Set for a Cracking 2017

IBBSS 2017 promises to be sun, sea and brass in the beautiful surroundings of Gower peninsular near Swansea. The delegates are drawn together from more than ten different countries and are guided through the week by Course Director Prof. Nicholas Childs and special Guest Paul Lovatt-Cooper.

The course is a mixture of musical education with a holiday atmosphere with like minded musicians. The IBBSS has fantastic tutors this year including:-

Cornets: Richard Marshall (Black Dyke), Tom Hutchinson (Cory), Chris Turner (formally of Cory)
Horns: Owen Farr (Special Guest, Zoe Hancock for Flugels)
Euphoniums & Baritones: Gary Curtin (Fodens), David Thornton (Brighouse & Rastrick)
Trombones: Brett Baker (Black Dyke)
Tubas: Joseph Cook (Manger), Matt Routley (Black Dyke)
Percussion: Matt Whitfield and Simon Oliver (both formerly Black Dyke)

The course offers individual ensuite accommodation, breakfast and a three course evening meal. Tuition includes full band rehearsals, sectional practices, individual lessons, conducting classes, sight Reading sessions, quiz night, Brass in Concert IBBSS style and of course the legendary end of course party!
