Don Lusher Competition for 2018 Now Open

The British Trombone Society is proud to remember one of the world’s great trombonists with the Don Lusher Trombone Competition 2018.

With kind support of Diana Lusher, this contest gives young players the opportunity to display their melodic, ballad style of playing. Don was renowned worldwide for his mastery of this genre of playing.

The Prize

The Don Lusher Trophy awarded by Diana Lusher and a guest performance appearance with the Black Dyke Band (at a mutually convenient concert).

The final of the competition is to be held at the BTS North West Trombone Day on 15th September 2018 in the Peel Hall, The University of Salford, The Cresecent, Salford, M5 4WU.
