Foden’s Set For Young Soloists Weekend In Armagh

Foden’s Band will travel to Armagh for the 17th consecutive year on the 3rd of February 2017 for their annual gala concert and young soloists weekend hosted by Armagh Old Boys Silver Band.

Speaking ahead of the forthcoming weekend, Ivor Stevenson told A4B: ‘Every year we see outstanding developments and talent in the youth performances which take place during the day on the Saturday. It is a great opportunity for young individuals to practice and perform a solo accompanied by the Foden’s Band. The number of young folk participating every year grows, which is encouraging to see.’

The event will take place at Armagh Old Boys Band Hall, Little Barrack Street
on Saturday 4th of February between 10:00 – 15:30 (inclusive of lunch reception). Any soloists should contact Ivor to confirm their place and must bring accompanying band parts.

Following the Young soloists’ performance, people can look forward to a concert by Foden’s held at the 1st Presbyterian Church Armagh, commencing at 7.45pm on the 4th February which will also see the launch of the bands latest CD release ‘Patrons Choice X. ‘
