Reg Vardy Band Set For 50th Nationals Appearance

The Reg Vardy Band is pleased to rack up their 50th qualification for the National Brass Band Championships final at the Royal Albert Hall.

The band first qualified in 1963 under its original name of Craghead Colliery Band and has rarely been absent in the 56 years since.

A spokesperson for the band told A4B: ‘The band would also like to warmly congratulate its nearest banding neighbours NASUWT Riverside Band on their victory at the North of England Regional Championships. It’s great to have two high calibre Durham bands at the RAH.’
