Solo/1st horn, Eb bass and players for Whit Friday

Stockport Silver Band are a fun, yet focused, 4th section band with good community ties and a strong social element. Under the direction of MD Ian Colwell, the band are currently looking for dedicated players to join our friendly team.

Current vacancies include; Solo Horn, 1st Horn, 2nd/3rd cornet, and Eb bass, though we welcome any interest from any players who wish to get in touch.

We also have positions available on horn or bass (dependent on experience) for players who would like to join us in the upcoming Whit Friday contests.

The Band rehearse once a week on Tuesday evenings, 8–10pm at Whitfield House, Stockport, (just minutes from M60 J1 and a short walk from both Stockport bus and train stations) and have a well balanced, varied event schedule including performances at regional and local contests, local community events/festivals, regular band club concerts and charity events.
