Musical Director

The Friendly Brass band invite applications for a Musical Director to lead the band forward following a successful year of rebuilding.

The right candidate will be able to work alongside the players and the committee to plan and prepare for a number of high profile concerts with top class soloists to full venues as well as the band’s contest appearances.

The band is well organised and funded and offers a great opportunity for a conductor to further their career.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Fridays, 8-10pm in the bands purpose built band room in Sowerby Bridge – rehearsals are well attended and the band currently only has vacancies in the cornet section.

The position of assistant musical director is also available should an applicant want to work 1 night a week.
